Knowing Blackjack - More than Roulette

Knowing when to use a particular strategy when playing online blackjack can greatly increase your chance of winning real money. For example after you have received your fist two cards in the game of blackjack, the player has the option of doubling down. When doubling down the size of the original bet that you placed becomes doubled and you then receive an additional card after which you must stand. In the case of a good hand the player is able to receive twice as much money. If the player receives a bad hand, he is likely to lose twice as much money. This is why the decision to double down should be taken carefully. Some online blackjack varieties will only allow the player to double down if the value of their cards have a minimum of 9, 10 or 11. Other blackjack variations will allow the player to double down with any cards.
